Dubai Holding Honours Fastest UAE Nationals in the Dubai Marathon

DUBAI, 27 February 2011: Dubai Holding, one of the region’s largest conglomerates, has honoured the fastest UAE Nationals for their outstanding performances in the 2011 Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon. Naser Mohamed Al Marzouqi, from the Jumeirah Group who recorded a time of 03:02:03, to lead the UAE runners home in the 42 km men’s event.

He finished ahead of Mubarak Al Menhali, from Al Ain, who completed the race in 03:11:14 and Jassim Ali Alali, from Sharjah, who posted a time of 03:14:08. The fastest UAE woman to finish in the 42km was Reem Fekri, from Dubai, in a time of 05:55:28.

All four competitors received their prizes from Dubai Holding’s Chief Executive Officer, Ahmad Bin Byat at a ceremony held at Dubai Holding’s headquarters in Emirates Towers, Dubai.

This year is the fourth year in a row that Dubai Holding has been a support sponsor of the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
