Retail

Dubai Holding brings to the city vibrant retail destinations and community centres, recognising the importance of retail as a major contributor to Dubai’s diverse economy and facilitating the ongoing growth of the sector and tourism overall.

Attracting Retail Investment across Leading Destinations

Dubai Holding Asset Management’s retail portfolio includes some of Dubai‘s most iconic destinations that have elevated the city’s position as a global centre for tourism and leisure. It operates 20 leading urban retail destinations and has a wide-ranging footprint that spans 3.7 million sq.ft of gross leasable retail space across the city.

It works closely with partners and investors to create retail investment opportunities attracting local, regional and international brands to Dubai.

With an exclusive selection of premium retail, dining and entertainment experiences, Bluewaters is a modern, family-oriented island destination that blends waterfront views with the exhilaration of urban city life. Its vibrant lifestyle boulevard offers over 160 retail and dining concepts, ranging from high-end restaurants to intimate bistros, and is home to Ain Dubai, the largest observation wheel in the world, as well as Madame Tussauds.

Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), a vibrant 1.7 km beachfront promenade, is home to hundreds of retail outlets, ranging from boutiques to international high street and premium retail stores, and is interspersed with food & beverage outlets representing a multitude of homegrown and international cuisines.

Business Bay is home to prime retail spaces as well. The district is a thriving mixed-use residential, commercial, hospitality and retail hub. Within Business Bay, Bay Avenue and Bay Square offer 30,000 m2 of retail space across their ground and plaza levels, allowing retail outlets to serve the bustling area.

Dubai Holding’s retail and lifestyle destinations City Walk, La Mer and The Beach are operated by Merex Investment, a joint venture between Dubai Holding and Brookfield Asset Management.

Destinations with a Focus on Local Culture and Heritage

Combining the classic charm of Dubai with its modern drive, Al Seef embraces old and new to provide a unique shopping and dining experience. From Arabic to American, Indian to Emirati, a vast array of global cuisine can be found within the heritage-inspired destination. Located close to the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, the bustling area encompasses over 80 retail outlets.

Located in the heart of Madinat Jumeirah, Souk Madinat Jumeirah is an authentic Arabian bazaar which recreates the traditional Middle Eastern marketplace through distinctive architecture, commercial exchange and lively cultural entertainment. The renovated 16,000 m2 space is home to designer boutiques, traditional craft shops, intimate galleries and major brand stores. Souk Madinat Jumeirah launched immersive art project Souk Seven in 2019 to bring the rich cultural heritage of the Emirates to new audiences. The ongoing collection of artworks and installations created by seven renowned UAE-based artists, transforming the 21st century souk into a living canvas.

Premium Lifestyle Destinations

The latest addition to the community retail experience, offering local residents a shopping and dining experience in harmony with nature is Al Khawaneej Walk.
