Dubai Holding company, Jumeirah Group has been at the forefront of the development of Dubai’s thriving hospitality industry through its operations and brand portfolio since 1997.

Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts

A cornerstone of the hospitality industry, Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts, is the leading Dubai-based luxury hospitality company operating 22 hotels and resorts in the Middle East, Europe and Asia.

Within Dubai, Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts is responsible for the establishment of some of the city’s most well-loved and iconic properties. From Jumeirah Beach Hotel which opened in 1997, one of the Emirate’s original premier resorts for family holidaymakers, to the groundbreaking Dubai icon, Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, which opened in 1999 and is regarded as the most luxurious hotel in the world, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, recognised perennially as the best business hotel in the region, and Madinat Jumeirah, its first Arabian themed resort.

From its firm beginnings in Dubai, Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts has taken its unique brand of Arabian hospitality and service excellence to nine worldwide destinations, including Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, London, Frankfurt, Mallorca, Istanbul, Bodrum, Baku, the Maldives and Shanghai – with a robust pipeline of new openings in key locations for the coming decade. Jumeirah Group is regarded among the top luxury hotel groups in the world and has built up a strong and loyal following in the Gulf region, the UK, Germany, Russia and China.

Hospitality - A Key Industry

Since 2000, the number of hotels in Dubai has risen from just under 400, representing around 25,000 rooms, to over 670 properties offering over 98,000 rooms. This reflects the growth in the number of travellers to Dubai to over 14.9 million in 2016. In that time, Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts has expanded its international portfolio of luxury hotels to include 6,028 rooms worldwide.

A further reflection of the success of Dubai as a destination and Jumeirah as its leading luxury hospitality brand is the sustained strength of the average room rate and occupancy rate Dubai hotels command. Jumeirah’s Dubai properties exceeded 80% occupancy rate, and over 75% worldwide.

Jumeirah's Hospitality Portfolio

Jumeirah Group’s portfolio boasts a number of strategic additions in recent years. Representing a benchmark in luxury, serviced residences apartments, Jumeirah Living operates contemporary properties in Dubai and London. Jumeirah Restaurants, the dedicated branded restaurant arm of Jumeirah Group holds the rights to operate renowned brand restaurants including The Ivy, Rivington Grill and Le Caprice across the Middle East and North Africa. Its flagship eatery, Noodle House was its first brand and is establishing restaurants on a global scale.

With the importance the hospitality industry plays in Dubai and the region, Jumeirah Group invests in world-class industry related education and training through the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management (EAHM). EAHM students reap the benefits of internationally recognised study programmes and hands-on industry experience with Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts properties.

As the Emirate prepares to host the World Expo 2020, Jumeirah plays a key role as an ambassador of Dubai, raising awareness of facilities and services, and of the culture and the opportunities.

With many hotels expected to open under the Jumeirah brand and under the brand of its new contemporary lifestyle brand Venu in the coming years, the company is recognised as a leader in the global hospitality sector and a symbol of Dubai’s ambition, vision and commitment to excellence.
