Hala China

Hala China is a first of its kind initiative for Dubai, aimed at exploring opportunities to attract Chinese visitors, to encourage and facilitate economic development through both tourism, trade and investment.

A joint initiative between Dubai Holding and Meraas, Hala China has the sole strategic aim of attracting Chinese visitors to visit Dubai and the UAE, through a series of initiatives and events.

This joint initiative will play a significant role in supporting Dubai’s strategic Tourism Vision of 2020 to attract 20 million visitors to the Emirates by 2020 – the same year that Dubai will host the World Expo.

The focus of the initiative will be to create an annual schedule of experiences and tourism packages, catering to Chinese visitors, from Accommodation, Shopping, Dining, Entertainment, Exploration, Wellness and Concierge.

Hala China’s schedule will include a mix of events and programs from food festivals, fashion shows, sporting events, music festivals and Chinese cultural pageants. All complementing Dubai’s already rich calendar of events which will be hosted at the destinations of the companies showcasing Dubai and the UAE.

To ensure all visitors get the most of their stay, Chinese tourists will also have access to a dedicated Mandarin Chinese hotline and concierge service, which will provide tourists the information about the city in their native language. It can be accessed by all Chinese speakers visiting Dubai.
