DuBiotech Joins Hands with UAE Ministry of Health to Update Business Partners on Regulatory Environment

03 May, 2010 - Dubai Biotechnology and Research Park (DuBiotech), the major life sciences hub in the Middle East and a member of TECOM Investments’ newly created Sciences Cluster, today announced it joined hands with the Ministry of Health to host a workshop, seeking to update its business partners on the regulatory environment in the UAE.

Titled ‘The First Regulatory Gathering’, the workshop held at the DuBiotech Laboratory buildings was led by His Excellency Dr. Amin Al Amiri, CEO, Medical Practice and Licences, UAE Ministry of Health, who briefed DuBiotech business partners on the regulatory framework in the UAE as well as the challenges to the industry’s growth.

His Excellency Dr. Al Amiri said:

The workshop served as a crucial platform to critically examine the medical sector in the UAE. The Ministry of Health is committed to supporting government and private sector organizations in developing the region’s industry. DuBiotech’s initiative with the ministry has been significant as it helped bring better synergy in teamwork and alliance, paving the way for future collaborations.
