Dubai Properties Group Hosts Diverse Selection of Events and Activities at The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residence To Celebrate Dubai Shopping Festival 2010

Dubai: 10 February, 2010 – Dubai Properties Group, a member of Dubai Holding, today announced an exciting line-up of events at The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) that can be enjoyed by guest of all ages during the 15th Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), the annual retail and entertainment extravaganza that attracts millions of visitors from around the world.

Organised in co-operation with DSF, The events will run through 28 February and include a family funfair, strolling musical entertainment from the Raqsaat group performers, the DTCM Heritage Village, Covent Garden Market and an array of games and activities on the JBR plaza.

The funfair, located adjacent to Sheraton Hotel, is open from 4pm to 11pm each day and features a thrilling selection of rides and amusements including a ferris wheel, roller coasters, bumper cars, and water rides.  In addition, a host of games and activities for families are offered each day on the plaza level of Rimal and Sadaf buildings at JBR.

The DTCM Heritage Village offers guests extraordinary insight into Emirati culture and heritage. An exhibition on the centuries-old art of falcon hunting, a pearl demonstration, horse riding, mock wedding ceremonies, arts and crafts and traditional bands can be enjoyed by guests of all ages. 

The Walk will be filled with the sights and sounds of the Raqsaat group performers who will entertain guest with traditional international dances throughout the festival.  In addition, Covent Garden Market will offer a European-style shopping experience with trendy clothes, dazzling jewellery, unique accessories, authentic decor, beautiful artworks, beauty products and toys.
