Senior Vice President of Dubai Healthcare City wins Leading Woman CEO Award

Dubai: 26 October 2009 - Dr. Ayesha M Abdullah, Senior Vice President of Dubai Healthcare City, a member of TECOM Investments, today received the prestigious ‘Leading Woman CEO’ Award, from Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE, Ruler of Dubai.

Part of the Women Achievement Awards, which recognizes and rewards the outstanding achievements of business women across industry sectors, ‘Leading Woman CEO’ Award was judged on the basis of the individual’s achievements, active engagements, career path, leadership and decision making ability, strategic management skills, corporate philanthropy and other inspirational stories that may have led to the company’s growth.

Speaking at the prestigious ceremony in Dubai, Dr. Ayesha said:

Dr Ayesha is an 18-year veteran of the healthcare and engineering industries. She is responsible for driving Dubai Healthcare City’s strategic objectives, planning and operational delivery, developing new businesses, and managing strategic healthcare partners.

Dr. Ayesha holds a Bachelors of Science, Biomedical and Electrical Engineering degree from USA, an MBA with a Finance focus and a PhD, MPhil in Strategy Management/Planning Studies from UK.
