Dubai Internet City Holds Free Yoga Workshop for ICT Community

Dubai: 19 December, 2009 - Dubai Internet City, a member of TECOM Investments, sponsored a yoga workshop titled ‘Arthritis is not a Life Sentence!’ as part of its initiative to support the well-being of the ICT community.

Organised in cooperation with the Emirates Arthritis Foundation, the organization under the patronage of HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of HH Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the event attracted over 60 from the business partner community at the region’s leading managed ICT cluster.

The slow, controlled physical movement of joints in yoga is considered helpful for Arthritis patients as it improves blood circulation. The yoga workshop organized by Dubai Internet City also included special relaxation therapy sessions to help alleviate repetitive stress/strain injuries (RSI), and tension and its impact on the health and overall well-being of the ICT community.

Through the yoga workshop, Dubai Internet City has reiterated its support to the community members while helping them relieve their stress levels after long hours at their office desks.
