Dubai Bank recognised for 'Best Marketing Campaign' at Islamic Business and Finance Awards

Underlines bank's commitment to innovation and customer-centric approach

Dubai, December 22, 2009: In recognition of its commitment to delivering creative, innovative and relevant products and services that raise the bar across the Islamic banking industry, Dubai Bank was presented with the “Best Marketing/Advertising Campaign” award for its Kunooz Savings Programme at the 2009 Islamic Business and Finance Awards held recently in Dubai.

Dubai Bank was among many contenders ranked for their exceptional performance, especially during the current period of global financial volatility. The winners were chosen by the general public through a voting system based on a shortlist compiled by an international judging panel, consisting of industry observers and analysts.

Revamped and re-launched in April 2009, Dubai Bank’s Kunooz monthly cash prize promotion offers customers with the opportunity to win high-value cash prizes while maximising their profit earning opportunities in a secure manner. The integrated marketing and communications campaign designed by the bank was aimed at raising awareness of Kunooz in a simple yet effective manner. Further, the campaign has capitalised on several channels and touch points, including broadcast, print and digital media, television and outdoor advertising.

In addition to the recent accolade, Dubai Bank has won a host of regional and international awards in 2009, including being ranked second in the UAE for retail banking and "Best Islamic Bank" by Ethos Consultancy. It has also been named “Best Islamic Bank” by Banker Middle East, the Arab world’s premier financial magazine. Additionally, Dubai Bank earned the “Best Islamic Credit Card” award at the Banker Middle East Product Awards, and took home two awards at the International Islamic Finance Forum in the areas of “Alternate Channels in Islamic Banking” and “Innovation in Card Application.” The bank was also recently nominated for “Marketing Strategy of the Year” at the Middle East Business Achievement Awards.
