Dubai Properties Group Hosts First ‘Kids Open Day’ at Headquarters
Programme in Response to Busy Schedules of Working Parents
Dubai: 04 August, 2009 – Dubai Properties Group (DPG), a member of Dubai Holding, today announced it hosted a ‘Kids Open Day’, encouraging DPG employees to bring their kids to work and avail of the day-long child care services and entertaining activities specially tailored for the young ones.
The event was held on 3 August at a dedicated area within the DPG headquarters and included a costume competition, face painting, video cartoons, games, and free gifts for all participants. As a star attraction, Modhesh, the mascot of Dubai Summer Surprises, made a special appearance at the Kids Open Day event.
The children were supervised by the DPG’s Mubadara team, an initiative established in 2007 to contribute towards the overall benefit of the society through participating in community related activities, particularly those that serve to highlight the UAE's well-being programmes.

Working parents lead a very busy lifestyle and the ‘Kids Open Day’ was held with the aim of accommodating their needs and work schedules. We received great interest from our staff, as all of them had a chance to spend more time with their little ones at the workplace. We aim to hold such an activity at least twice a year as part of our assurance to colleagues that we are perceptive and sensitive to their fundamental role as family persons.
Since its launch, Mubadara has facilitated the implementation of several corporate responsibility (CR) programmes, both in-house and external. Some of its activities such as the DPG Marathon and recycling campaign on World Environment Day have drawn unanimous participation from both DPG employees as well as other stakeholders.
