Retail

Dubai Holding recognises the importance of retail as a major sector of Dubai’s diverse economy, and facilitates ongoing growth of the industry through its companies, Jumeirah Group and Dubai Properties Group (DPG).

Attracting Retail Investment

Dubai Property (DP), Dubai Holding company, DPG’s asset management arm, works closely with partners and investors to create retail investment opportunities attracting regional and international brands across the retail spectrum to Dubai.

DPG’s strong relationship is evident in multiple locations across the Emirate. JBR, a high footfall 1.7km beachfront promenade is home to over 305 retail outlets, ranging from boutiques to international high street and premium retail stores, and is interspersed with food & beverage outlets representing more than 30 international cuisines.

DPG’s Business Bay is another example of prime retail space – at almost 7.5million m2, the district is a thriving hub for residential property, and commercial and retail businesses. Within Business Bay, mixed-use developments Bay Avenue and Bay Square offer 30,000 m2 of retail space across their ground and plaza levels, allowing up to 123 retail outlets to serve the busy community.

Enhancing Communities

Dubai Properties is committed to continually enhancing its residential communities, ensuring generous residential space and the development of a range of amenities on the doorstep. The Villa, Layan, Remraam, Mudon and Al Khail Gate are prime examples of buzzing communities, all with amenities including supermarkets, pharmacies, salons and dining outlets within easy reach.

Jumeirah Group Retail Destinations

Dubai Holding company, Jumeirah Group’s owned hotels are retail destinations in their own right. Jumeirah operates approximately 38,000 m2 of retail space at 90% occupancy across Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, Madinat Jumeirah, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Jumeirah Emirates Towers.

Jumeirah’s two key retail and food & beverage destinations, Souk Madinat Jumeirah, and The Boulevard at Jumeirah Emirates Towers, offer a premium mix of dining and shopping to hundreds or thousands of tourists and residents annually.

Souk Madinat Jumeirah

Located at the heart of Madinat Jumeirah, the Souk is an authentic re-creation of an ancient Middle Eastern marketplace with a myriad of winding streets, intricate wood carved archways, and the sights, sounds and smells of a traditional bazaar. At 99% occupancy, the 16,000 m2 space is home to designer boutiques, traditional craft shops, intimate galleries and major brand stores. A number of restaurants and waterfront cafes including The Meat Company, Toscana, Trader Vics and Belgian Beer Café create an intoxicating ambience for visitors to Souk Madinat.

The Boulevard at Jumeirah Emirates Towers

In stark contrast to Souk Madinat Jumeirah’s  traditional, bazaar-like ambience, The Boulevard at Jumeirah Emirates Towers offers a premium, lifestyle shopping destination with niche brand food & beverage choices within a bright, spacious podium between the two iconic towers in Dubai International Financial Centre.

The Boulevard spans 13,700 m2 and is home to 60 retail outlets encompassing a discerning mix of luxury boutiques such as Cartier, Mont Blanc and Damas, international brand restaurants including The Ivy and Hakkasan, and homegrown favourites The Noodle House and Al Nafoorah.  In addition, Talise Fitness and a number of premium grooming salons are popular lifestyle choices for Boulevard visitors.
