Dubai Holding diamond sponsor for SME diploma programme

DUBAI, 19 March 2006: Dubai Holding announced that it will be the diamond sponsor for the Dubai Economic Department's Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) diploma programme that seeks to develop entrepreneurial and project management skills of young UAE nationals.

At a press conference, Abeer Al-Mutawa, Marketing Director of Dubai Holding said: "We are glad to support the SME diploma programme as it is in line with Dubai Holding's corporate social responsibility programmes that express the company's social commitment. Enhancing opportunities for UAE nationals to develop themselves is a key part of these programmes."

Al-Mutawa said that the diploma programme's objective to train young nationals to manage small projects and companies fits in with Dubai Holding's vision embodied in its slogan "For the Good of Tomorrow". Programmes like these, she said, will promote the continuous development of young national talent, which in turn contributes to economic growth.

Dubai Holding was launched in October 2004 to consolidate the various large infrastructure and investment projects launched in Dubai over the past five years as well as to research, identify and execute future major projects that will benefit the UAE and the region.
